Ministers Tax Guide & Workbook

$34.99Price

This book has two parts.

  • The Guide (Chapters 1–9) explains how ministers are taxed, the most common violations and costly errors, how to structure a compensation package, and how to protect yourself in an audit.
  • The Workbook (Appendices A–H) gives you the tools to put it into practice: a sample minister’s tax summary, a housing allowance worksheet, expense and mileage logs, a compensation planner, sample board resolutions, and a 2026 tax estimator.

Who this book is for.

  • Ministers who want to file correctly, pay less tax legally, and stay out of trouble.
  • Church boards, treasurers, and administrators who set and report a minister’s pay.
  • Faith-based nonprofits (parachurch ministries, chaplaincy organizations, missions agencies, Christian schools, and similar 501(c)(3) organizations that are not churches) that employ ordained, licensed, or commissioned ministers.

Civic and other secular nonprofits generally do not have ministers, so the special clergy rules in this book do not apply to them. The compensation, benefits, and reimbursement chapters still apply to their employees.
